When a wiseguy reporter asked if Mr. Obama’s “disintegrating” snowball could be a bad omen for his campaign, Mr. Gibbs said a predictable no and then added a counterbalancing touch of intrigue to the incident:
There was, in fact, a second snowball thrown from the hand of the Hawaii-bred Mr. Obama, Mr. Gibbs reported.
“And it hit me right in the head,” he added, pointing to his temple. The spokesman appeared unharmed.
