Eddie izzard's "The Riches" to Premiere on FX This Monday at 10

The riches is a new TV drama/comedy on FX. It stars Minnie Driver and Eddie Izzard as Wayne and Deliah Malone. They, and their three kids, are a family of itinerant scam artists from rural Lousiana. They decide to seize a rare and unique oppurtunity and take over the identiy of a rich couple that died while moving in to a new home, and settle in for good.
The show is about a lot of things: remaking your identity by choice instead of circumstance; living a life in America on the foundation of a huge, gaping lie; Suburban alienation; family squabbles.
It looks a lot more like Six Feet Under than I think it has any right to, which is probably a good thing. I have great hopes for this. The kids look great, they have some great lines in promos. I always liked minnie driver, and Eddie Izzard holds an important place in my heart, covered in lipstick, next to the acorns.
Although i wonder how they can pull off Eddie as a con artist. I don't think i've ever sen him take anything seriously, even in his serious roles you tell he just want to stick out his tongue and mug for the audience. But i have confidence that it will all get pulled off nicely.
